Until Halloween night, fourteen Pokémon show up in costume for you to catch until the end of the event. There's a new bonus where you can Trick or Treat every day. You can also work as a community to fill up the Candy Jar with seven goals that each unlock a huge bonus. Lastly, you have a lantern of your own that unlocks some amazing bonuses, plus tons more!

Costumed Pokémon

Fourteen Pokémon are dressed up in their Halloween costumes and will appear in the wild until Halloween. They show up in the wild like anything else, and they will keep their costume even after the event. If you're lucky they show up shiny! You can trade and sell the costumes on the market, however they cannot be bred.

The Candy Jar's seven goals

The Candy Jar has seven community goals. The first goal will gain you access to Darkrai's special research. After that, each goal will be rewarded to every trainer who added at least 10 pumpkins of their own, including the goals that landed before they joined, as long as they collect before the event ends. Only the next goal will show when the previous one is completed!

Once a goal has been completed, it will be announced in the official server! Press Candy Jar on your Trick or Treat to see the goals and collect what you've earned.

Trick or Treat

Once per day, you can Trick or Treat. Use the command
/trickortreat
, or the pumpkin button on
/daily
! You will either receive a trick or a treat.

A treat is three pumpkins that count towards the Candy Jar, getting you closer to that goal. A trick will reward you one pumpkin, and a wild Pokémon jumps out of the bag! However, if you catch the Pokémon from the trick it is worth three pumpkins. Every catch drops 2 pumpkins and every wild win drops 1, and a costumed catch drops extra!

Pumpkins can't be traded, sold or spent. They fill the Candy Jar and your lantern, which will earn you many rewards!

Not a supporter yet? Your first treat will come with a little extra surprise. Your cards will be animated for three days.

Your Lantern

You also have your own rewards path from all the pumpkins you contributed. You can earn some amazing rewards you would not want to miss out on, so make sure to get your pumpkins!

Press Your Lantern on the Candy Jar to see how far you've climbed and collect your rewards.

Come back every night

Press Trick or Treat on back-to-back days, and from the third day of your streak every press pays bonus pumpkins! Miss a day and the streak starts over. Every top.gg vote during the event also drops pumpkins in the Candy Jar, on top of what
/vote
already pays!

The Halloween 2026 board

A new board on
/leaderboard
will show the Trainers who have caught the most Ghost and Dark types during the event. Ghost and Dark types also show up more often, so keep your eyes peeled!

The Long Night research

There's a brand new research chain called The Long Night in
/specialresearch
too! Every stage gives you a costumed Pokémon, BUT be quick! It ends when the event is over!

Into the Nightmare

Darkrai's research opens the moment the Candy Jar reaches its first goal, so be sure to hit it as quick as possible! Once it's unlocked, it's unlocked for everyone forever!

Jack-o'-Lantern

Once you earn seven pumpkins you will unlock the Jack-o'-Lantern color for your cards, and it's yours to keep after the event! Pick it with 🎨 Card color on
/stats
.

Supporters can pick it from the first day and you can earn it through the event! Go get those pumpkins!

Training

The Ability Capsule and the Ability Patch are now in the shop! The Ability Capsule swaps a Pokémon to its other regular Ability, and the Ability Patch switches it to its Hidden Ability or back to normal. Both are at the shop. A Fresh-Start Mochi wipes all of a Pokémon's EVs at once, and EV berries are cheaper.

Battles and menus

A stat that goes up or down now shows on the Pokémon's own plate. It will show one peak for each stage up and one dip for each stage down. The shop, receipts, your bag, Field Research, the Day Care, the leaderboard, the Pokédex, the Trainer Circuit boards and the Server Challenge have all been revamped to a new look as well.

The Visual Overhaul. Almost every screen in the game is new!

Fishing, battles, the fight menu, your party, level ups, the catch card, trades, evolutions, your box and your Trainer Card have all been redrawn, and the free cards are in colour now. Everyone gets the new screens. Supporters get them animated! Along with a whole bunch of more changes!

Battles

Every battle is drawn on a new and updated HUD. When a stat change goes up or down, the arrows run over that Pokémon's own pixels, so you now have a visual indicator.

The fight menu shows your four moves with who is fighting up top, and each move says SUPER, NOT VERY or NO EFFECT against the Pokémon you're fighting. Level ups have their own updated card, with a new and improved stat rise plate.

Winning a wild battle ends on its own card: the Pokémon you beat, the EXP and coins you got, and anything that got EXP from an Exp. Share. Losing your whole party has a card too.

Catching and fishing

The catch card got a full redesign, and it's in colour: your new Pokémon stands on its type's colour with the type's own symbol behind it, front and center with its IVs, nature and ability. Legendaries get the full card on their own scene, and shinies sparkle.
/pokemon info
uses the same card.

Fishing is a whole new scene now! Cast your line, wait for the bite, and reel it in. If the chat buries your cast, the bite comes in at the bottom, and
/fish
brings a dismissed line back. The Super Rod also hooks 77 Pokémon now, up from 51, same price and same odds. And every once in a while, something a lot bigger than a fish might bite.

Trades, evolutions and your Trainer Card

Trades and evolutions got new cards too. A trade shows exactly what was traded, and an evolution shows what stats went up.

Your Trainer Card has been redone, with your partner in the middle on its type's colour and your Circuit divisions shown as balls.

Your box, the Pokédex and the Day Care

/pokemon list
opens in one press, with sprites twice the size so it reads on a phone, and a picker so you can check any Pokémon on the page without leaving it, plus a 🎁 Holding an item filter.
/pokedex
has a picker too, and the Day Care deposit list has search and a flip.

New trainers get a new starter screen as well.

Shadows, and the one that got away

Shadows follow each Pokémon's shape now, and in battle they follow its pose when its feet move. A Pokémon that runs off leaves on the scene it was in.

Two DMs to know about

Hatch DMs are opt-in now. If the bot was DMing you when an Egg hatched, it stops until you turn it on with the 🔔 on
/daycare
or in
/notifications
.

Your vote streak gets a last call. One DM before it runs out. Same 🔔 as the vote reminder.

Updates don't cut you off any more

The bot now finishes what it is doing before an update, so nothing gets cut off. A Deoxys fight, a move prompt and an evolve prompt live through a restart now too.

Supporting the bot

You can support the bot for $5 a month on Patreon. It is a donation, not a purchase. It keeps the bot running and it goes back into the game. Supporters get some nice visual bonuses on their side of the game, and none of them give them a benefit in real gameplay.

To get your perks, link your Discord account on Patreon and be in the official server. Without both, the bot has no way to give you your perks. You can also run
/supporter
in Discord.

The little things

/invite
adds the bot to another server.

A Shiny hatching says so.

Research steps that asked for a species you had never caught now ask for that many different species instead. Field Research and Special Research both.

/notifications
says what each toggle actually covers now.

The vote rewards line says what actually doubles at the weekend: your coins.

catchemcord.com/review is a short link straight to the review page.

Battle gifs hold the Pokémon's own colours, so the sprites stay true. The backdrop behind them shifts a shade for it.

Spam and alt detection got stricter.

Fixes

A Pokémon that used Dig, Fly or Phantom Force stays on screen for the whole turn.

A wild that knocks itself out no longer skips your move learning and evolutions.

Evolutions and trades use nicknames.

The restless note goes with the throw.

The Day Care board draws for every pair.

Searching with accented letters no longer breaks the box.

The box sort value is not hidden under the marks.

Pressing a research boss twice no longer starts two turns at once.

Long names fit on the fight screen.

Showing off a Pokémon twice in one second no longer posts it twice.

The Aurora Ticket leaves your bag when you win the finale.

Wild Pokémon don't go for moves that lower their own stats as often.

Dusclops stands on its feet instead of floating.

A few Pokémon that don't live in water, like Golbat and Grimer, are off the fishing list.

Voting, and what helps most

You can vote for Catch 'Em Cord on top.gg every 12 hours. Every vote pays coins that grow with your streak, 3 Great Balls, and a Rare Candy on every 7th vote in a row. It warns you before a streak runs out now too.

Votes and reviews are how new trainers find the bot at all. If you have a minute, a review on the same page helps more than anything else, and I read them.

If something looks off

This is a lot of new art in one go. If a card looks wrong, or something is sitting where it should not be, tell me in the Discord and I will fix it.

Without both, the bot has no way to give you your perks. You can also run
/supporter
in Discord.

Animated battles

Every turn for a Supporter now plays as an animation. The text scrolls across the screen, your Pokémon lunges, the HP bar drains on the hit, and a knocked out Pokémon drops off its platform before the game says it fainted. Then the EXP bar fills, and a level up shows which stats went up.

It works in wild battles, fishing, the Trainer Circuit, research bosses and singles PvP. The fainting, EXP and level up parts are in wild battles and fishing. In PvP, if either player is a supporter, both players see it! You can turn it off any time in
/supporter
.

The catch, animated

The ball flies in, the Pokémon is pulled inside, and the ball rocks once for every shake before it clicks shut with stars.

Caught in place

Your catch card shows your Pokémon standing in the place you caught it, with Caught by and your name under it. The Pokémon moves on the card, on your catch cards and when you open
/pokemon
.

Your own card color

Pick from 10 colors with the 🎨 Card color button on your
/stats
card. It shows on your Trainer Card, your catch cards,
/pokemon
, the EV spread, and the card when a Pokémon you are battling runs away.

A gold badge

A gold Supporter badge on your Trainer Card, and next to your name on the leaderboard.

You also get a Supporter role and a supporters channel in the official server, and early looks into what is being developed!

What it does not do

Nothing here helps you catch, win, earn, or climb. No better odds, no extra spawns, no coins, no Pokémon, nothing faster.

Free badges too

If you were one of the first 100 trainers to run
/start
, your role used to be called Early Supporter. It is now called Founding Trainer, and it now shows a badge on your Trainer Card. If you boost the official server, you get a Booster badge.

Neither one costs anything, and neither is a paid role.

A new catch screen

When you caught a Pokémon, the screen used to show an empty platform. Now the ball rests right where the Pokémon stood, with a special catch screen instead!

Status shows on the battle screen

When a Pokémon is poisoned, burned, frozen, paralyzed or falls asleep, it is now tinted that status's color. This works in every kind of battle.

Who's That Pokémon?

Every spawn card now has a Who's That Pokémon? button. Press it, type the name, and if you are right the battle starts. There is a Hint button next to it too.

Typing
/encounter
with the name still works the same.

The little things

When your vote is ready,
/daily
shows a link to vote.

Battle text stays on screen a little longer, and the first screen after you pick a move shows up sooner.

Every item has its icon in the bag's Use menu.

Messages saying you are already in a battle now link to that battle.

The market's sell picker has a search.

A Metal Coat can be held to power up Steel-type moves, and still evolves Onix and Scyther from the bag.

Evolution stones in the shop now list every Pokémon they evolve, Gen 5 included.

Deoxys's boss battle follows the same reading pace as every other battle.

Circuit rematches are now in the Ultra Ball and Master divisions.

Fixes

Frisk uses the games' line. It now says "Gothita frisked Porygon-Z and found its Life Orb!" instead of saying the Pokémon obtained an item it was already holding. Air Balloon is fixed too.

Abilities that announce themselves use the games' lines. Pressure, Mold Breaker and the rest now say things like "Gothita is exerting its pressure!"

Beating Deoxys shows the celebration card. The card now posts when you win.

The release card shows the right form. Spinda keeps its spots, and Unown letters and other forms show as they should.

Fishing can no longer lock you out. If a fishing battle's card disappears, running
/fish
again clears it, and the same fish is still waiting.

The Day Care box shows the right form. A Winter Sawsbuck now shows its Winter coat when you pick a Pokémon to leave.

Keldeo and Darmanitan show their real names. Their form is no longer stuck to their name, like "Keldeo-Ordinary".

Air Lock and Cloud Nine clear the weather. The battle now says "The effects of the weather disappeared."

Dig, Fly and Shadow Force hide the Pokémon. In the Circuit and PvP, a Pokémon using a move like these now disappears from the field.

The Circuit entry screen shows your party in order. It now matches your
/party
.

Server Challenges count evolutions and hatches. Both now add to your server's challenge.

Phione hatches count once. Hatch research tasks no longer count a Phione hatch twice.

PvP type labels follow the Pokémon on the field. They now update after a switch.

PvP messages point you to
/party
. They used to mention a
/team
command that does not exist.

You can't cast
/fish
in the middle of another battle. Finish or run from that battle first.

Long partner names fit on the Trainer Card. The Circuit emblems no longer overlap either.

156 new Pokémon, a five-division battle campaign, doubles battles, challenges for your whole server, and the biggest research update yet is now here.

Generation 5 is here

All 156 Pokémon from Unova now spawn, hatch, evolve, so start filling up your Pokédex.

Keep a look out for Kyurem, waiting in the Giant Chasm.

The Trainer Circuit

The real battling you have all been waiting for! Introducing the Trainer Circuit! The Trainer Circuit is a full battle campaign containing five divisions from Rookie to Master, each with six trainers to beat, ending in an Ace. Bring six Pokémon that meet the division's level, make sure they are well trained as it can be difficult, then clear a division to unlock the next.

The first time you beat a trainer you will be rewarded coins, and once you finish a division you can rematch the trainers for a smaller payout against a smarter opponent.

Once you clear the Master Division you will earn the Exp. Share! It splits battle XP across your party. Get ready for a challenge, it takes a master to beat the master division!

Doubles battles

/battle now has a Doubles format. You will send out two Pokémon per side with real targeting and spread moves. Make sure you set it in the rules to make it work!

Competitive Doubles runs the rules real doubles formats run. Note: Double Battles are in testing so expect some bugs, and also expect to see it used in some new modes with your friends very soon!

There's new gear in the shop to fight with too. 22 new Battle Items are now added including the Choice Band, Choice Specs, and Choice Scarf! And some items never hit the shop at all. They drop from wild Pokémon that hold them, so check what your catches are holding!

Set your own battle rules

Battles got a full rules rework. Pick a format when you
/battle
someone: Casual (no rules, bring what you want!), Casual Doubles, Competitive at Lv 50 on Showdown Ubers rules, Competitive Doubles, or Competitive at Lv 100.

Or build your own. Singles or doubles, bring 3 or bring 6, fight at your own levels or capped at 50 or 100, and toggle the real clauses one by one: Species, Item, Evasion, OHKO, Sleep, and more. Your opponent sees every rule on the challenge before they accept, with a live countdown so nothing expires mid-setup.

Challenges for your server

/research
has a brand new community function. One weekly goal your whole server works towards together for a nice reward. You are enrolled just by playing! No need to push any buttons, just progress towards the goal and get a nice reward!

The goal rotates every week with a new one. These include a Group Catch, a Field Survey for new species, a Training Drill of battle wins, an Evolution Study, or a Hatchery Shift. The target scales to your own server's last week, so a two-person server has a real shot and a busy one still gets a proper community push. Clear it and everyone who contributed gets paid for what they contributed to the challenge.

New special research chains

Four more special research chains are now available. Start some new research which leads to encounters with Victini, Deoxys, Shaymin, and Keldeo. Every research now tells a story. The professor will lead you through the story as you progress through the research.

Research pays properly now

Tasks now pay more! The tasks now pay ₽150 for Poké tier, ₽250 for Great, and ₽400 for Ultra. Also, new tasks now arrive when you finish your whole slate, instead of just one at a time.

Kyurem fusion

For those who are lucky enough you can use DNA Splicers to fuse Kyurem with Reshiram or Zekrom for Kyurem-White or Kyurem-Black. You can unfuse them whenever you want without losing anything as well!

Some new battle scenes!

Three new commissioned backdrops are live in the wild. These are the snow field, deep woods, and a cemetery. These are linked directly to the typing of the Pokémon.

Every other battle got the same treatment. PvP duels, the Circuit and boss fights all used to be fought on one single field no matter who you were facing. They now pick their scenery from your opponent, the way a wild encounter always has, and the Circuit has its custom halls.

Better DMs

Playing in the bot's DMs got a real upgrade. You can now play any of the modes inside the DMs without them being ephemeral, meaning you can't accidentally close it by hitting dismiss. Commands that used to show in DMs that can only be used in servers also no longer show.

For server owners

The command list in /config is shorter on purpose. It now only offers the five commands that actually put something in your channel: encounter, battle, trade, show, and leaderboard. Everything else answers privately to whoever typed it, so restricting those never changed what your server saw. If you had older restrictions saved on private commands, they no longer apply.

The Pokédex went online

The whole Pokédex is now on the website: all 649 species with stats, abilities, movesets, type matchups, and exactly how to get every single one. Search it at catchemcord.com/pokedex while you hunt!

The little things

The Reveal Glass is in the shop. It toggles Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus between their Incarnate and Therian formes.

Eggs now show the games' own status line, so you can tell how close one is to hatching.

Deerling and Sawsbuck wear a random coat, all four seasons, all the time.

The Pokédex tabs are in dex order, and the box caps how much it loads at once so big collections stay fast.

Use more than one of an item at a time from your bag.

The box marks who is holding the Exp. Share.

Zoroark's Illusion works on the battle screen. The spawn card shows the Pokémon it is pretending to be, so the disguise actually works.

The website now has a full how to play guide at catchemcord.com/guide.

Fixes

Clicking fast in a PvP battle can no longer spend two turns' worth of actions.

The victory card at the end of a wild battle now shows the exact Pokémon you fought: Unown letters, cloaks, seas, and female sprites included.

Your team is locked while a battle is running. You cannot use Rare Candies, gain evolutions or have any party changes during a battle.

Command tweaks in
/config
showed nothing at all if you had locked a command to ten or more channels.

Some Pokémon could not be reminded of moves they learn when they evolve.

A legendary you had already worn down could stop coming back.

The Day Care no longer calls Nidorina a Legendary. Some Pokémon just can't breed, and the message reflects that.

The Rotom Catalog has a picture in the shop again.

Defeating a fished-up Pokémon now offers to cast again, the same as catching it always did.

A Pokémon that uses Sketch in PvP keeps the copied move after the battle.

Walrein no longer hovers above the ground on its cards.

Form-changed Pokémon show their forme's real Ability on their cards, not the base one.

The last line of a battle gets proper reading time instead of flashing past.

Winning at Lv 100 says your Pokémon's name instead of a generic line.

One more thing

Something is coming this Halloween. Keep an eye on the woods at night.

Keep up with updates

New command:
/patchnotes
. Keep up to date with all the Updates and Changes here!

Training, Forms, and a lot of fixes

Some huge quality of life changes in this update along with some new features!

The Form Dex

Some Pokémon spawn with multiple different forms. It is many people's goal to collect everything, so there is now an easy way to view them all and track them!

Open
/pokedex
and hit the Forms button. The ones you have caught show in colour, the rest will show as a silhouette.

Your whole team counts towards Training Level now!

Training Level used to come from ONE Pokémon, whichever you had trained to the highest level. Everything you put into the rest of your team counted for absolutely nothing. This was a major design flaw in the Trainer Level system.

This has been fully reworked. Every point of XP any of your Pokémon earns now feeds your Training Level. Train your lead, train your whole party, it all counts!

Your current level is completely unaffected. Check out your level in
/pokemon list
!

Spawn rarity has been completely rebuilt

Rarity used to be based on the individual catch rate of a Pokémon, which meant whichever rarity tier held the most Pokémon was the Pokémon you kept seeing over and over again. Uncommons were turning up way more than they should have, and the rare stuff was much harder to find than intended by a lot.

Each rarity tier now gets a fixed share of spawns, split between the Pokémon in that given tier. This will be the same case for future generations. This has been running for a bit already so hopefully you have seen some more variety.

17 rarer Pokémon have been added to the spawn pool

Seventeen Pokémon that used to need a trade now spawn in the wild. These include: Alakazam, Machamp, Golem, Gengar, Scizor, Steelix, Kingdra, Politoed, Slowking, Porygon2, Porygon-Z, Rhyperior, Electivire, Magmortar, Dusknoir, Huntail and Gorebyss!

You can still evolve these Pokémon the old fashioned way. Also, as a bonus every evolution item dropped to ₽3,000. Anyone that bought one of these beforehand has been refunded the currency difference.

Fishing takes a lot less time

Reeling in a bite will drop you straight into the encounter now. No extra buttons. Bites come much faster too, so less waiting. Also, when a cast ends there is a Cast again button, so you can drop straight into the next one.

You can also fish from your DMs now, where nothing hides behind a disappearing message.

Every notification in one toggleable place

You can now access
/notifications
which is one panel for every DM the bot can send you. These include the Daily and vote reminders, a ping when your lead levels up, and a heads up when the Day Care has an Egg ready.

Quality of life

/show party
posts your whole party, or hit the button on
/party
.

Search the Day Care box by name or nickname.

Give Item and Sell buttons are right on a Pokémon's page now.

The search functions now show the catch number, IVs, gender and nature.

Gen 4 items have their real icons in your bag and the shop.

Fixes

Taking a held item off a Pokémon had a chance to destroy it. This has been fixed, and every item destroyed this way has been refunded.

Releasing a Pokémon also destroyed whatever it was holding. The item is now refunded straight to your bag.

Female Pokémon showed the wrong sprite outside of battle.

Effectiveness ignored Abilities. Drill Run read "super effective" against a Bronzong that Levitate made completely immune to it.

Future Sight and Doom Desire landed in total silence, so a Pokémon just died for no visible reason.

A finished research chain showed its last step as 0/1.

Wild Pokémon could get stuck at exactly your Training Level plus 5.

Odor Sleuth and Foresight now let Normal and Fighting moves land on a Ghost in the battle menu.

Help us keep growing

You can vote for us on top.gg every 12 hours, and every vote earns you ₽ that grows with your streak, 3 Great Balls (double on weekends!) and a Rare Candy on every 7th vote in a row.

Every vote pushes us up the rankings and helps new trainers find the bot. Help us grow! 🚀

Still tuning

We are keeping a close eye on all of this and tuning as we go, the rarity rebuild especially. If something feels off, tell us in the Discord!

Losing a legendary isn't the end anymore!

Lose a legendary and it keeps coming back until somebody actually catches it. No more waiting a week for another shot for it to return. Plus a few battle fixes!

Legendaries keep returning until somebody catches it

The old return method was a little too brutal. If you lost your legendary encounter you were waiting days for it to come back.

However, that is now changed. The legendary will keep respawning until someone catches it, and much faster than the previous change. Knock it out, run out of balls, white out, it does not matter. It will return to the same channel and you'll get another encounter very soon!

How long between attempts

Both are paced by how busy your server is, not by a timer, so a lively server gets its rematches much faster.

Standing legendaries (Mewtwo, Lugia, the birds, the Regis, Giratina and more) come back sooner, and arrive at full health each encounter.

Roaming legendaries (Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Latias, Latios, Mesprit, Cresselia) take a little longer to reappear, but they keep their damage every time you encounter them until they are caught. Wear one down across a hunt and it will keep that damage when it returns! Don't worry, you can't KO them!

Two turn moves no longer look like a frozen battle

When your Pokémon is partway through a two turn move, you could previously encounter a soft lock. Now you will only be able to use that two turn move properly.

Still tuning

None of these changes are final. We are going to keep watching how legendaries actually feel and will keep adjusting, so expect more changes from here. If something feels off, tell us in the Discord. We want everyone to have fun and a fair experience!

Dig, Bounce, Fly and Shadow Force made a trainer battle look like it had locked up. It hadn't, but the move screen gave you no way to tell. Plus a fix for move PP showing the wrong numbers after Hyper Beam.

The frozen looking battle

When your Pokémon is partway through a two turn move, the games only let you finish that move. You can't switch and you can't pick something else. That part was working.

What wasn't working was how it looked. The move screen still showed all four of your moves with three of them greyed out and the Switch button dead, so a battle you could carry on with read as a battle that had crashed. Thanks to desqtheshadow and astrea_yt for reporting it, one on Dig and Bounce, the other on Giratina's Shadow Force.

Now a locked turn shows the one move you can actually use, on its own, the way the games do it. Wild battles already worked this way. Trainer battles were the odd one out.

Move PP after Hyper Beam

Using Hyper Beam or Giga Impact left your Pokémon needing to recharge, and the recharge turn was quietly overwriting its move list. After it wore off, every move on the panel showed a PP count from a different scale, so a move that started the battle at 20/20 could be sitting at 56/56 a few turns later.

Nobody reported this one. It turned up while we were chasing the first bug. Your Pokémon were never actually losing moves or PP, the panel was just reporting nonsense. It reads correctly now, in wild battles and the Trainer Circuit as well.

Legendaries: rarer to find, and they stay until someone catches them

Finding a legendary is now a much bigger deal, but once one shows up in your server it keeps coming back until somebody lands it. No more waiting a week for another shot at the one that got away.

Rarer to find

A brand new legendary turning up is meant to be an event, so they are quite a bit harder to run into than they were. Fewer sightings, but each one matters a lot more.

That is the only thing that decides how many different legendaries your server ever meets. Everything below is about the one you have already found.

It stays until somebody catches it

The old rule was brutal: lose a legendary and your server had to earn 600 spawns before it came back, which was about a week on a busy server and far longer on a quiet one.

That is gone. A legendary now keeps coming back until someone catches it. Knock it out, run out of balls, white out, it does not matter. It will be back, and you will get another go the same day.

One legendary at a time

While a legendary is doing the rounds in your server, another one will not turn up on top of it. One story at a time, start to finish, and it ends when somebody catches it.

How long between shots

Both are paced by how busy your server is, not by a clock, so a lively server gets its rematches faster.

Standing legendaries (Mewtwo, Lugia, the birds, the Regis, Giratina and friends) come back sooner, and arrive at full health each time.

Roaming legendaries (Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Latias, Latios, Mesprit, Cresselia) take longer to reappear, but they keep every bit of damage you did to them. Wear one down across a hunt and it is weaker every single time you find it again.

That is the trade. The one that carries its wounds makes you wait for it.

Still tuning

None of these numbers are final. We will be watching how it actually feels in real servers and adjusting from there, so expect more changes. Tell us if something feels off, it is genuinely easier to fix when you say so.

Running into a legendary is supposed to be an insane moment. It had started to feel too frequent and not rewarding enough, so we rebuilt how they show up, how they leave, and what happens when you lose one.

Legendary encounters, reworked

A server will not run into two different legendaries on the same day. They should feel like a big moment!

If you lose one like Mewtwo or Lugia, it is gone. HOWEVER, it comes back only once your server has earned enough spawns for another shot at it, and it returns at full strength. This will take a long time.

No more coin flip deciding whether it vanishes. If you lose it, you lost it. Get those teams and Pokeballs ready!

The roaming legendaries keep their chase

All roaming legendaries still bolt the moment a single ball fails, and all the damage you land on them sticks between each encounter. Wear one down across a hunt and it will be weaker every time you find it again.

Legendaries wait while you are playing

A legendary used to disappear on a strict timer, regardless of whether the server was active or not. That timer is now removed. Now it sticks around while your server is active and only moves on once enough other Pokemon have come and gone. Nobody loses a legendary just because they took a minute to get their team ready.

Spinda finally shows its spots

Every Spinda has its own spot pattern, and its catch card was showing a broken image instead of the Spinda you actually caught. Fixed.

Shop and battle fixes

The Battle Items tab in the shop would not open at all. Fixed.

Battles move quicker now (still being adjusted).

Multi hit moves no longer shout "It's super effective!" once per hit.

Moves that change your type no longer leak internal text into the battle log.

Still tuning

None of these changes are final. We are going to keep watching how legendaries actually feel in real encounters and will continue to adjust, so expect more changes and fine tuning from here.

The Sinnoh update is here

The Sinnoh Pokédex just landed. 107 new Pokémon are now spawning, evolving, breeding and battling everywhere. The Pokédex now runs 1 to 493!

All 14 Sinnoh legendaries are out there too, each with its own arrival and backdrop! And two new roamers are on the move.

New evolution items in the
/shop
cover every new line, so nothing in Sinnoh is out of reach.

Special Research

You can now encounter Special Pokémon through
/specialresearch
! You will work through multi-stage investigations through a set of tasks. They will take a long time to complete, however nothing ever expires and you can work on multiple at once! Complete every stage and a special reward is waiting at the end.

Mythical Pokémon can't be found in the wild. A few of them aren't obtainable yet at all. Be on the lookout for future updates and events!

Fishing

Buy a Rod at the
/shop
and use
/fish
to cast a line. When something bites you only get a moment to reel it in. Only you see the bite, the catch and the battle. Nobody can try to steal your fish!

Better rods pull rarer Pokémon, and only the Super Rod ever hooks a Feebas.

Formes

Giratina's Origin Forme and Rotom's five appliances are now live! Form items are available in the
/shop
, and only show up once you own the Pokémon they're used on, and are never consumed.

Incense babies

Nine Incenses are now in the
/shop
. Have a parent hold one at the
/daycare
and the Egg hatches the baby form: Munchlax, Bonsly, Mime Jr., Budew, Mantyke and more. If you don't have the Incense, you will not hatch the baby.

Sinnoh Week

To celebrate the launch, it's SINNOH WEEK! For the next 7 days, Sinnoh Pokémon spawn about 1.5× more often. Legendaries keep their normal odds. Fill that dex.

Quality of life

Favorites: favorite any Pokémon from
/pokemon info
. Favorites pin to the top of your box, wear a heart on their cards, and can't be released!

Easier selling:
/market list price:<amount>
with no Pokémon picked now opens a picker of your box.

Game-accurate throws: you can't throw a ball at a Pokémon that's mid Dive, Fly or Dig anymore. Wait for it to come back into sight.

The market got real pages and faster sorting for big collections.

A progression trick let players force much stronger wilds to appear. The whole progression system got looked into and changed, and Training Level is the result.

What changed

A progression trick let players catch a stronger wild Pokémon than expected, lead it, and force even stronger wilds to appear. Some climbed far past where their team had actually earned. Due to this, the whole progression system got looked into and changed.

Due to this, we introduced a new system called Training Level. Wild Pokémon now appear up to 5 levels above your earned Training Level, and cap at Level 60. Your strong catches are still yours and still fully usable. Your teams and Pokémon are unaffected.

Trading or releasing a Pokémon no longer lowers the progress you've earned. Real improvements to high-level (60+) XP grind are coming separately.

You can now see your Training Level, and exactly how wild levels work, right in
/pokemon list
. 🎓

Keep it coming

We're actively balancing the whole bot, so expect more improvements as we go. Spot something that feels off? Tell us, we'd rather hear it than not. And if you have ideas, send them our way. A lot of what we add starts as a player suggestion.

Big thanks to the player who found this and reported it instead of quietly using it. 🫡

Every legendary got its own personality and a celebration card, Pickup started working, and the caught marker arrived on the battle screen.

Legendaries got a whole lot more LEGENDARY!

Every legendary now has its own personality. The messages you see when one appears, escapes, or goes down are unique to that legend.

A legendary that escapes can come back for a rematch. If one got away in your server, watch the spawn cards. Small hints appear when it is getting close.

And when someone finally catches one, there is a new special surprise! Everyone will see a full celebration card with the legendary having a special background, its stats, and the trainer who caught it. Shiny legendary catches get a very special version. Good luck finding one!

Tip for the hunters: legendaries resist capture hard. A weakened, sleeping legend stays in the ball way more often than a healthy one.

Pickup works now

A Pokémon with the Pickup Ability can find an item after wild battles. That means a battle you won, or a wild encounter you caught after fighting. Just throwing a ball at a fresh spawn does not count.

Who has it: Meowth, Aipom, Teddiursa, Phanpy, Zigzagoon, and Linoone.

Every Pickup Pokémon in your party rolls a 10% chance after the battle.

One item per battle, and up to 3 finds a day.

More Pickup Pokémon in your party means better odds per battle.

Higher level Pickup Pokémon find better items.

Rare finds (1.5% of any find, any level): an Evolution Stone, a type held item, a King's Rock, Leftovers, or a Nugget.

💰 The Nugget is pure gold with no use at all. Sell it at the Mart for ₽1,500. Pokémon with Pickup can find one, and just like the games, a wild Meowth, Grimer, or Muk is sometimes carrying one when you catch it.

The caught marker

A small Poké Ball now shows next to a wild Pokémon's name on the battle screen when you have already caught that species, just like the games. No ball means you still need it. If the wild is a shiny, the ball only shows if you have caught a shiny of that species before.

And the rest

🔥 Eggs hatch faster with a fiery friend. Keep a Pokémon with Flame Body or Magma Armor in your party and your Eggs hatch twice as fast. That is Magby, Magmar, Slugma, Magcargo, and Camerupt.

🚫 Can't escape! Trapping abilities finally work. You can no longer run from a wild Diglett, Dugtrio, or Trapinch (Arena Trap), a Wobbuffet (Shadow Tag), or a Magnemite line holding your Steel type in place (Magnet Pull). Ghost types can always leave, and a Pokémon with Run Away now lives up to its name and escapes anything.

The Ability Update is HERE!

Every Pokémon now has its real ability from the games! New catches will now roll between their species' abilities, and a caught wild spawn will keep the one it fought you with. Your existing Pokémon have all been given their abilities too! Do
/pokemon info
to see it!

Abilities work exactly like they should in battles!

🌦️ And you can SEE the weather now! The scene will change and the tag in the top right corner tells you what you are standing in.

Legendaries got an UPGRADE!

A defeated legendary no longer just flees forever. If you lose to one, or even knock it out, it may linger nearby and RETURN to the same channel later. Catching it is the only way to permanently secure it!

And a whole lot more changes

🥚 The Day Care welcomes Hoenn. Every Hoenn Pokémon can now breed properly. Ditto included. Go make some Eggs.

🤝 Trading got friendlier. You can receive a Pokémon up to 5 levels above your highest level Pokémon! This also applies to the Market as well!

📋 Research refreshes daily. Finish a task and a new one takes its place 24 hours later. Finishing all three still rewards you with a bonus.

⚔️ Losing lets someone else encounter. If you white out, the wild encounter now stays in the channel for another trainer. You will still only have one chance with that Pokémon!

🎒
/team
is now
/party

📟 Live status is now shown! You can now see the live status of the bot at catchemcord.com/status, plus a status channel here that will ping if something is wrong.

🐛 Fixes. Timer Ball works exactly like the games now. Boxes are now fully pickable, with pages and a search function.

Gen 3 is officially live

135 new Pokémon (252 to 386) are now appearing in the wild!

🌿 All 3 generations' starters are now in
/start
for new players.

📋 Field Research is here. Run
/research
to see your tasks. You will receive three tasks at a time in Poké Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball tiers (₽75, ₽100+, and ₽150+ each, plus a ₽100 bonus for clearing all three). Catch, battle, evolve and more. You will get 3 new tasks 12 hours after you finish the previous set, and you get one free reroll a day.

🎁 Wild held items. Wild Pokémon can show up holding their real items from the games. When you catch them, they will be holding the items!

🐛 Hoenn's oddballs. Wurmple picks its own evolution path, and evolving Nincada leaves a little surprise in your collection.

The legendaries of Hoenn await

The box Legendaries are here: Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza, with Rayquaza waiting at the top of the real Sky Pillar. The Regis are awaiting your battle, and Jirachi and Deoxys are out there for the luckiest trainers.

And the roaming Latias and Latios don't sit still. They'll take a hit and bolt, just like the Johto beasts. The damage sticks, so chip them down!

Battles got sharper

Catching now earns EXP. A catch pays the same experience as a win, and EXP splits between the Pokémon that actually fought, like the classic games.

Wild Pokémon put up a real fight now. Levels scale close to your team, and some run a little above you. New trainers are protected, so their whole team won't get knocked out.

Battles also keep getting more accurate: wild self-destructs now play out on screen, fainted Pokémon no longer earn EXP, and a big round of fixes landed with the update.

Ignored encounters wander off so busy channels flow better, evolutions got a rendered scene, and /config got a full rework.

Spawn update: the encounters keep moving

Wild Pokémon appear in chat just like before. The more your server talks, the more show up. However there is a slight change. When your chat has already earned the next spawn, an ignored encounter now wanders off after a short moment instead of sitting there blocking the next spawn (previously was 3 minutes). Busy channels flow better and no spawns get wasted, leading to more overall spawns! Spawns now have a 30 second grace period after the next spawn is triggered so they don't instantly leave. Mid-encounters are not affected.

One more important thing, a shiny that spawns and flees without anyone ever encountering it is no longer lost forever. It stays in the tall grass and wanders back later. But if you met a shiny and it got away from you, it's gone forever!

Legendaries are untouched by all of these changes and will still last 3 minutes.

Evolutions got a revamp

Evolving Pokémon now get a rendered scene: "What? Abra is evolving!" with the reveal following right after. Victory screens got a new look as well. Every public card now credits its trainer, so you always know whose Pokémon just won or evolved.

For server admins: /config got a full rework

New servers get a brand new, quick two step setup. The panel now warns you if the bot can't post in your spawn channel. Also, level-up announcements can route to your spawn channel to keep chat clean. Run
/config
to make any changes!
