The Visual Overhaul. Almost every screen in the game is new!

Fishing, battles, the fight menu, your party, level ups, the catch card, trades, evolutions, your box and your Trainer Card have all been redrawn. Everyone gets the new screens. Supporters get them animated! Along with a whole bunch of more changes!

For everyone

Battles#

Every battle is drawn on a new and updated HUD. When a stat change goes up or down, the arrows run over that Pokémon's own pixels, so you now have a visual indicator.

The fight menu shows your four moves with who is fighting up top. Level ups have their own updated card, with a new and improved stat rise plate.

Catching and fishing#

The catch card got a full redesign. Your new Pokémon is front and center with its IVs, nature and ability, and /pokemon info uses the same card.

Fishing is a whole new scene now! Cast your line, wait for the bite, and reel it in. The Super Rod also hooks 90 Pokémon now, up from 53, same price and same odds. And every once in a while, something a lot bigger than a fish might bite.

Trades, evolutions and your Trainer Card#

Trades and evolutions got new cards too. A trade shows exactly what was traded, and an evolution shows what stats went up.

Your Trainer Card has been redone, with your partner in the middle and your Circuit divisions shown as balls.

Your box, the Pokédex and the Day Care#

/pokemon list has a new picker so you can check any Pokémon on the page without leaving it, plus a 🎁 Holding an item filter. /pokedex has a picker too, and the Day Care deposit list has search and a flip.

New trainers get a new starter screen as well.

Shadows, and the one that got away#

Shadows follow each Pokémon's shape now, and a Pokémon that runs off leaves on the scene it was in.

Two DMs to know about#

Hatch DMs are opt-in now. If the bot was DMing you when an Egg hatched, it stops until you turn it on with the 🔔 on /daycare or in /notifications.

Your vote streak gets a last call. One DM before it runs out. Same 🔔 as the vote reminder.

Updates don't cut you off any more#

The bot now finishes what it is doing before an update, so nothing gets cut off. A Deoxys fight, a move prompt and an evolve prompt live through a restart now too.

For supporters

Supporting the bot#

You can support the bot for $5 a month on Patreon. It is a donation, not a purchase. It keeps the bot running and it goes back into the game. Supporters get some nice visual bonuses on their side of the game, and none of them give them a benefit in real gameplay.

To get your perks, link your Discord account on Patreon and be in the official server. Without both, the bot has no way to give you your perks. You can also run /supporter in Discord.

The little things#

/invite adds the bot to another server.
A Shiny hatching says so.
Research steps that asked for a species you had never caught now ask for that many different species instead. Field Research and Special Research both.
/notifications says what each toggle actually covers now.
The vote rewards line says what actually doubles at the weekend: your coins.
catchemcord.com/review is a short link straight to the review page.
Battle gifs hold the Pokémon's own colours, so the sprites stay true. The backdrop behind them shifts a shade for it.
Spam and alt detection got stricter.

Fixes#

A Pokémon that used Dig, Fly or Phantom Force stays on screen for the whole turn.
A wild that knocks itself out no longer skips your move learning and evolutions.
Evolutions and trades use nicknames.
The restless note goes with the throw.
The Day Care board draws for every pair.
Searching with accented letters no longer breaks the box.
The box sort value is not hidden under the marks.
Pressing a research boss twice no longer starts two turns at once.
Long names fit on the fight screen.
Showing off a Pokémon twice in one second no longer posts it twice.

Voting, and what helps most#

You can vote for Catch 'Em Cord on top.gg every 12 hours. Every vote pays coins that grow with your streak, 3 Great Balls, and a Rare Candy on every 7th vote in a row. It warns you before a streak runs out now too.

Votes and reviews are how new trainers find the bot at all. If you have a minute, a review on the same page helps more than anything else, and I read them.
